Once again, mates, sorry for the week off. Just using this hiatus to the best of my abilities. By that, of course, I mean I’ve been writing like the wind. The finishing touches have been put on the script for chapter three of this storyline, Something Wicked That Way Went. I’ve also completed a first draft, which I’m really proud of, for part four, tentatively titled Samurai, Saint, General, Spy. I like it, but I’m not in love with it, yet.

Happy Holidays, everybody! This page doesn't have anything* specifically to do with Doug Benson's favorite day of the year, but I couldn't resist making this week's post a treat for all you celebrants of Four-Twenty. I apologize that it isn't a medicinally infused brownie, but I don't have that kind of scratch.** That said, I do think what Taylor's radass did with panel(s) 4(/5) is pretty (not-literally-)killer dope.***

P.S. - ATTENTION We're Not Fanboys listeners: We're going to be discussing Chew vol. 1: Taster's Choice with Morgan from Boomerang Comics on this Sunday's show! Read it and listen to us gab, or call in and tell us what you think! (April 24 @ 12pm/11amCST)

So, last time I completely failed to mention that the most recent episode of We’re Not Fanboys was this past Sunday, and not only did we delve into the whole “Rob Granito Affair” but we also talked with Jason Brubaker, blogger (read that shit, it is dope) and creator of the comic reMIND (coming to print very soon). Jason admitted at the top of his segment that we were his first podcast, but I think he sounded like a pro. Granted, our experience is limited, but it’s an excellent conversation about making independent comics. If you’re here, I imagine you might get a kick out of that, so take a listen!

I mentioned in the last post that we would be offering a sneak peek of Blood on the Tracks at the upcoming Dallas Comic Con, which will include several of Taylor's original thumbnails for some of our favorite pages. What you see above won't be included in that book, but it's the kind of thing you have to look forward to if you get your hands on a copy.* I'm a fan of this sort of thing in collected trades and on artists' sites, and I hope you are, too. It's all for fun, yo.

April 7, 2011 - The Unstoppable Force: 2011 Dallas Comic Con Special (Cover Preview!)
On the last blog, I mentioned wrote at length about the upcoming Blood on the Tracks: New Jack's City sneak peek we're printing for this year's Dallas Comic Con (in Irving!). It stands to be a good show, probably the best DCC in ever, and we're pretty excited to be there since it's now sold out. Jordan won't be joining us this time, but he'll probably be wandering about on Saturday. You should look for him and... Click HERE to see more!
